These Terms & Conditions outline the basis on which Oak & Edge Flooring ltd supplies products to its customers. They are designed to ensure clarity, consistency, and a professional standard of service at every stage of the process.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this document:

  • “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Oak & Edge Flooring ltd

  • “You”, “Buyer” refers to the individual or organisation purchasing goods

  • “Goods” refers to all flooring products and associated items supplied

  • “Contract” refers to any agreement formed between us for the supply of goods

2. General Terms

  • These Terms apply to all orders placed with Oak & Edge Flooring

  • They take precedence over any alternative terms unless agreed in writing

  • Acceptance of delivery constitutes acceptance of these Terms

  • Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer

3. Placing an Order

  • All orders are treated as an offer to purchase

  • It is your responsibility to ensure all order details are correct before submission

  • We reserve the right to accept or decline any order

  • Orders are subject to product availability

If an item is unavailable, we will offer:

  • An alternative product

  • A revised delivery timeline

  • Or a full refund

Certain products are made to order and are not supplied on a trial basis.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are based on our current quotation or price list

  • VAT and delivery charges are applied where applicable

  • All payments are processed in GBP (£)

Payment Terms:

  • A deposit may be required for bespoke or made-to-order items

  • The remaining balance must be cleared prior to dispatch or collection

We reserve the right to:

  • Amend pricing where costs change beyond our control

  • Correct pricing errors prior to delivery

  • Withdraw quotations at any time (quotes typically valid for 30 days)

5. Product Characteristics

Wood is a natural material, and variation is inherent.

  • Differences in colour, grain, and tone should be expected

  • Samples are indicative only and may not match final production exactly

  • Variation between batches is a natural characteristic are not a defect

6. Installation & Responsibility

  • It is the responsibility of the installer to inspect all materials prior to fitting

  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product

  • We are not responsible for installation or any damage caused during fitting

All products must be:

  • Installed in accordance with recognised industry standards

  • Installed following Oak & Edge flooring ltd guidelines

7. Maintenance

Ongoing care is essential to performance.

  • Products must be maintained in line with our care guidelines

  • Failure to maintain correctly may affect performance and warranty

8. Warranty

Our products are covered by a separate Oak & Edge flooring ltd Warranty, which should be read alongside these Terms.

Warranty validity is dependent on:

  • Correct installation

  • Appropriate environmental conditions

  • Ongoing maintenance

9. Delivery

  • Estimated delivery timelines will be provided at the point of order

  • While we aim to meet agreed dates, these are not guaranteed

Delivery Conditions:

  • Delivery is typically kerbside

  • You are responsible for unloading and access arrangements

  • Suitable access for delivery vehicles must be ensured

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Storage

  • Failed deliveries

  • Restricted access or redelivery

We recommend scheduling installation only once goods have been received.

10. Inspection & Acceptance

  • Goods must be inspected immediately upon delivery

  • Any issues must be reported in writing within 1 working day, with supporting evidence

Failure to notify within this timeframe will be deemed acceptance of the goods.

Installed products are considered accepted and cannot be rejected.

11. Returns & Cancellations

  • Bespoke and made-to-order items are non-returnable

  • Returns are only accepted with prior written agreement

  • Altered or treated products cannot be returned

Unauthorised third-party alterations will invalidate any claim.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence

13. Supply & Availability

We reserve the right to:

  • Amend product specifications

  • Withdraw products from sale

  • Decline to supply

We are not liable for any impact caused by such decisions.

14. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Supply chain disruption

  • Natural events

  • Industrial action

  • Government restrictions

15. Legal Framework

If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply in full.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will not affect orders already accepted.
